Green Hill Country in The Shire
Ballanor of Edhellond took a room at The Plough and Stars in Brockenborings. She was enchanted by the easy-going life of hobbits. She decided to rent a horse to Stock and then hiked back west to Green Hill Country.
The air smelled fresh and green. It was a beautiful area of Middle Earth and though Ballanor knew there was evil afoot in every corner of the world, she felt at peace here.
She would often return to the area when she could and the hobbits who lived nearby came to expect her. They would greet her curiously. After all, a lone elven woman with the special powers of a Rune-keeper, who stays in the Shire, drew some speculation.
Soon Ballanor would be called back north to the Greenfields – goblins have been spotted there and some of the wild animals have been attacking travellers. Even here in the Shire – peace, it seemed, would be short-lived indeed.
