Scouting the Enemy Outposts in Eregion

Pareth had an important mission in Southern and South Eastern Eregion: to rid the area of Half-Orc spies and Half-Orc captains, the evil minions dispatched by the wicked wizard – Saruman. These Half-Orcs were in an unhealthy alliance with the Dunlendings, men who were brain-washed by Saruman, and therefore enslaved by him.

As Pareth approached the outpost called Munudth Cadlus, she dismounted her horse and crept quietly towards the gate. She entered the camp by swiftly killing the guards at the gate, who barely had time to reach for their weapons, for Pareth’s bow was swift and true.

Many enemies were encamped in Munudth Cadlus, so Pareth had to be quick and quiet and she slew the Half-Orcs one by one. She didn’t want to kill any Dunlendings, but if they interefered and attacked her, she had no choice but to slay them too.

By the early morning hours, Pareth left the camp, grim and exhausted. But her mission was done and another warrior was sent to get any other enemies missed but there were few, if any, for Pareth had done her job well. And so they named her Protector of Eregion and Pareth was honoured and treated like royalty by the Elves in the area.

Pareth spent much time in Eregion, for it was rich in resources and she loved to craft jewelry when she had time away from battles. It was a craft that made her forget the horrors she encountered, and her mind wandered always to thoughts of better days, peace and beauty.

Deep within her heart, Pareth knew there would be better days ahead in Middle Earth but not quite yet. It was that thought that kept her going each time she was sent to battle.
