The Tower of the Necromancer

Pareth looked up at the sky from where she stood on the bridge to the Necromancer’s tower and she was filled with dread. For surely something was not right. The sky was dark, too dark for the middle of the day. “What sorcery is this”? she thought, and she braced herself for the onslaught of enemies who would surely attack her at any moment.
But no one stopped her from crossing the bridge. It was too quiet, and the eerie silence was ominous. Despite her growing fear, she took a chance and decided to scout parts of the tower alone, at the request of Laeglang.
Pareth knew that her mission would be very treacherous but she slew some thirty Orcs by the end of it and survived with barely a scratch. Such was her fate that day at the Tower of the Necromancer. And Laeglang praised her bravery and rewarded her in kind.
Pareth was battle weary and she decided to leave Mirkwood briefly for a rest. But she would return soon enough for she would join a group of brave warriors from every corner of Middle Earth and they would attempt another assault on Dol Guldur.
