One does not simply walk into Caras Galadhon in Lothlorien, not unless you want the Galadhrim guards to pierce you with many arrows. However, once a visitor gains the trust of the Elves of Lothlorien, the gates are opened and you step into a dream. The city of Caras Galadhon is filled with many flets with dwellings wrought in gold. To get up to the top of these flets, one must climb ladders, and for someone who is nervous about heights, it could be frightening at first.
But once one gets up high and looks around, one is captivated by the stunning beauty of the city. It is like time stands still in Caras Galadhon and all of the evil lurking nearby doesn’t exist.
Yet, the Elves of Lothlorien knew very well that enemies were all around them, seeking to destroy their beloved city, and the Lady Galadriel accepted the help of trusted outsiders to help her people with the defence of Lothlorien. And in the days to come, many worthy warriors would seek the favor of the Lady and offer their help. And in these troubled times, the Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn were kept busy with the preparations of the battles to come.

When Pareth was finally able to leave Moria and gained the trust of the Elves of Lothlorien to enter their land, Pareth spent several hours just walking outside and breathing the clean crisp air.
At night, she walked through the forests and the bark of the stately mallorns shimmered, so that it was never really dark – even though the forests were dense. Pareth revelled in their beauty, and she would spend much time in the days to come outside, surrounded by nature, though some of the creatures were wild and dangerous, even in Lothlorien.
The Elves of Lothlorien gave Pareth many tasks to complete, so she would would make it a ritual to walk through the woods at night and gaze at the majestic mallorns after she had completed her tasks for the day. For even in beautiful Lothlorien, evil lurked. Orcs and goblins had established camps nearby, and Pareth hunted them down, one by one, determined to stop them from tarnishing the beauty of the mallorn forests.

Pareth and her kin were sent home for some respite from the many battles they had fought. Pareth herself was badly injured from some serious falls she suffered in Moria. So she was grateful for rest and a little diversion.
She was dared by her friends to drink from the treacherous keg and she somehow ended up in the Lonelands, quite drunk and missing her leggings!
Pareth laughed and she happily took part in a race back home since everyone who drank from the keg ended up in different areas.
The race was on!
Pareth, as a hunter, was unable to use her special skillls, so like everyone else, had to find her way back to the kinship homestead the fastest using the stable horses. Pareth came a modest 5th, while poor Torbi, who ended up in the most remote corner of Middle Earth, came in last, but he was treated with honor for his determination to get back and join in the festivities. And we waited for him together and welcomed him with pride for he was a most noble warrior.
Each of Pareth’s kin enjoyed the holiday but each of them knew they were desperately needed in battle and the rest would be too brief. Soon, many of them would be sent to Mirkwood to help the Elves of Lothlorien battle the evil within that dark and treacherous forest.
Pareth had much to do yet in Moria, the Dimrill Dale, and Lothlorien, so it would be many days before she would venture to Mirkwood.
There was so much to do. Pareth sighed. “How can one survive all this evil?” she thought in despair. She gritted her teeth and found the strength within to say out loud: “Because we must!”
